New Delhi: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) president Alok Kumar on Friday said Congress leader Digvijaya Singh‘s statement that the Ram Temple is incomplete, is not true as the idol of Ram Lalla is to be settled on the ground floor where work has been completed. “A ‘muhurat’ (auspicious time) has been decided at 12.20 pm. The Pran Pratishtha is going to take place in a complete temple with all rituals…I have never seen such a reason to decline the invitation stating that the temple is incomplete except from the Head of Jyotish Peeth.
Three Shankaracharyas have expressed joy at the completion of the temple and welcomed the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecration), ” Kumar told reporters. Asserting that the ‘Pran-Pratishtha’ ceremony at Ram Temple in Ayodhya is an event of the entire society, BJP leader Ram Vilas Das Vedanti hit out at Congress for calling the ceremony scheduled for January 22 as a “BJP/RSS event”. “This is not an event of any party but of the entire society. Nobody has been stopped, and invitations have been extended to every party. This is a religious, devotional, cultural and historical event…Congress has boycotted Hindutva, Sanatan Dharma and nationalism,” Vedanti said.
“People have identified Congress correctly that they are anti-religion, anti-Hindu and anti-Sanatana. People should not support such Congress,” he said. Earlier on Thursday, Digvijay Singh said, “Who is going there? Not only Congress, but Shiv Sena, RJD, CPI (M), JDU, TMC which have got the invitation, are not going there. We will be happy to go to the temple, but let the temple’s construction be completed. They have made it an event of BJP and RSS.”
