NEW DELHI: Voter turnout in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 stood at 63.37% with the female voters outnumbering the male voters for the second time in a row by 3%, as per the data released by Election Commission on Tuesday.
The female voter turnout stood at 64.95% while the male voter turnout remained at 61.48%. This follows the previous trend when the female voters surpassed the male by 1.52% in Phase 5.
West Bengal witnessed the highest voter turnout at 82.71% whereas, UP, with 54.04%, saw the lowest voter turnout.
Further, West Bengal witnessed the highest female voter turnout at 83.83%. Meanwhile, Jharkhand saw the highest turnout of those who fall in the “others” category at 37.93%.
The poll body also released the absolute number of voters after it asserted on Saturday that “nobody can change the data of votes polled” and releasing constituency-wise data on the number of votes cast in the first five phases of the elections.
