The debate on golf has entered the US presidential discussions again as Donald Trump on Saturday said that he offered $1 million to Joe Biden in a golf game challenge.
Speaking at a rally in Minnesota, Trump recalled Biden’s during the presidential debate when he had said that he was a six handicap.
Taking a jibe at the US president, Trump said, “He said he was a six during the debate, then immediately he said he was an eight.I said if we keep going at this pace then you’ll be a 100.” Biden turned the offer down, said the former US president.
Trump was narrating an incident when Biden challenged him to a game of golf.
“Joe Biden challenged me to a round of golf”, Trump said as he went on to imitate Biden playing golf in an apparent dig at his deteriorating fitness condition.
“And I can hit the crap out of the ball,” he added.
“Then I said, I’ll give you ten strokes a side…I’ll give you one million dollars if you could beat me. He had no chance,” Trump said.
During the presidential debate, Biden had said, “I got my handicap, when I was vice president, down to six,” to which Trump replied, “I’ve seen your swing. I know your swing.”
Trump went on to comment on his running mate Kamala Harris saying, “We have a man that can’t put two sentences together, and now we are replacing him with worse than he is.”
