Rohit Sharma‘s admiration for Virender Sehwag runs deep, and one of the most memorable stories from his early cricketing days is when he skipped class to meet his batting idol.
This anecdote highlights how young Rohit was inspired by Sehwag’s aggressive, fearless style of batting. Sehwag, known for his explosive starts and the ability to dismantle even the best bowlers, was a hero to many young cricketers in India, and Rohit was no exception.
As a teenager with dreams of becoming a cricketer, Rohit found out that Sehwag was in town.Not one to miss out on the opportunity, he decided to bunk his class and head to the stadium where Sehwag was training. Determined, Rohit sneaked out and managed to get close enough to catch a glimpse of his hero.
