NEW DELHI: Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday voiced his protest against the killing of a 22-year-old Dalit man saying that the police was not taking any action against the mastermind.
“The superintendent of police is not taking any action against the mastermind and this is why people are angry here,” Rahul said speaking to the reporters in Raebareli.
The leader of opposition in Lok Sabha also met with the family of the deceased.

“I had a conversation with his mother, she said that her son is a barber. She said around 6-7 people used to come to him and get haircuts but never used to pay. The last time when they came he asked them to pay after which his brother was killed,” he said.
“This is a clear-cut injustice and this needs to be rectified. What punishment is to be given is up to the court but I can put pressure and I will not step back,” he added.
Arjun Pasi was shot dead outside a salon on August 11 allegedly after a fight with some locals. Six arrests have been made in the case so far, the police said.
