The star cast for the Ad.
WWE Superstars collaborating with biggies of other fields is common practice and ever since the 16 time WWE World Champion, John Cena has joined Hollywood, he has been collaborating for commercials and promotional events with several other celebrities. In one such similar instance, John Cena was seen having fun and even having a fist fight with ‘Meta’ CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, in a video shared on ‘Instagram’ by Mark himself. Interestingly, the joyful moments of the video were captured from the Ray-Ban sunglasses’ perspective, which made it even more intriguing.
The video Posted by Mark on Instagram
At the start of the video, Mark’s hand catches fire, to which Mark responded with some unexpected foul words. Then, Zuckerberg is seen sharing fist bumps with filmmaker Mathew Vaughn, who was there as the “Nutcracker”. “It’s fun to be working on something together, let’s do” Mark was heard saying. Following that, John Cena enters the scene and shakes Zuckerberg’s hand. Funnily, “Chestnut” was the title given to Cena in the video. The caption Mark put on the video was “Up to something with Mathew Vaughn, John Cena, Benson Boone and ‘Stuntnuts’.”
The ad features a one on one fight scene between former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Cena and Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg was tied with a harness to pull him above. After throwing and receiving a few fake punches with John, Mark was pulled up through the harness, to a bridge-like structure. On the bridge, he had a sword fight with Benson Boone, which Mark looked like winning. At the end of this fun fight segment, the shot where Mark’s hand caught fire was played again. All in all, it was a vibrant, fun shoot, as everyone involved was seen having a laugh.
A press release recently revealed that EssilorLuxottica and Meta have had a partnership since 2019. They have also collaborated to create two different ‘Smart Glasses’ for Ray-Ban. Now, with the vibrant ad that has been shot with the stalwarts of different industries, Ray-Ban’s popularity(which is already pretty high) is sure to reach newer heights.
