A pilot has died in a fatal aircraft crash in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley.

Reports of the crash were made at about 7.15am on Sunday morning, after the air craft plunged into a private property on Snipey Road, in Goulburn Weir.

A passenger was also in the aircraft at the time of the incident and has been airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening-injuries.

Footage from the crash site show the gyrocopter in a very damaged condition, with debris scattered nearby the body of the aircraft.

The cause of the crash has yet to be determined, and Victorian police will now prepare a report for the coroner.

Acting Inspector Darron Huffer will speak to media near the crash scene at 12.30pm Sunday.
