NEW DELHI: The Delhi government on Wednesday announced an early winter break in schools amid worsening air pollution in the national capital.
The schools in the city will be closed from November 9 to 18.

The air quality in Delhi and its surrounding areas plummeted to the severe category once more on Wednesday. Approximately one-third of the air pollution in the national capital can be attributed to the smoke resulting from post-harvest paddy straw burning in the neighboring states.
