NEW DELHI: Telangana’s Donuru Ananya Reddy achieved an extraordinary feat, securing the third rank nationwide in her debut attempt at the UPSC exam. After securing the feat, she expressed her deep admiration for cricket legend Virat Kohli.
Her remarkable success not only marked a personal triumph but also ignited aspirations to serve in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), aiming to enhance governance accessibility for all.

In an interview, the jubilant 22-year-old shared her admiration for Kohli, citing him as a source of inspiration.

“Virat Kohli is my favourite player. I see him as an inspiration,” Ananya remarked, highlighting Kohli’s unwavering discipline and indomitable spirit.
“My major takeaway from Virat is that results depend on the work we do. And that’s why he is inspiring,” she added, drawing parallels between Kohli’s approach to cricket and her own journey towards success.

Coincidentally, as Ananya celebrated her achievement, Kohli, former captain of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), showcased exceptional form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season.
Despite RCB’s poor performance with one win from seven matches, Kohli’s individual brilliance shone through, amassing 361 runs, including a century and two half-centuries.
