JUNAGADH: In Gujarat‘s Junagadh district, the body of a 28-year-old man was discovered hanging at his residence in Chorwad village, with local authorities suspecting a case of suicide, as per an official statement on Sunday.
A purported suicide note was recovered in the possession of the deceased, Nitin Parmar, which indicated that he was taking this extreme step due to issues involving his in-laws and a Congress MLA.
According to Police Inspector KM Gadhvi, Nitin Parmar’s body was found suspended from the ceiling of his house during the night between Saturday and Sunday.
“At first glance, it appears to be a case of suicide. We are awaiting the postmortem report to determine the exact cause of death. The suicide note is currently undergoing forensic analysis,” Gadhvi explained.
The police also retrieved a purported suicide note from Parmar’s belongings, which mentioned three individuals, including his father-in-law and mother-in-law, as well as MLA Vimal Chudasama.
In response to these allegations, Chudasama, acknowledging that Nitin Parmar was a relative, claimed that it appeared to be a murder case but was being portrayed as suicide as part of a conspiracy to tarnish his reputation.
Chudasama stated, “The individual who mentioned my name in the suicide note has not been in contact with me for the past two years. He is the son of my aunt. Based on the injuries on his body, his family suspects foul play. I believe the suicide note is a plot against me. The handwriting in the letter does not match his. This is a scheme orchestrated by my political rival to discredit me,” he informed reporters.
