NEW DELHI: A Learjet 45 aircraft with eight people on board veered off the runway at Mumbai airport during landing amid heavy rains on Thursday. The private plane belongs to VSR Ventures and was flying in from Vizag.
No casualty has been reported as of now, said an aviation ministry official.

“On September 14, VSR Ventures Learjet 45 aircraft VT-DBL operating flight from Vizag to Mumbai was involved in runway excursion (veer off) while landing on runway 27 at Mumbai airport. There were 6 passengers and 2 crew members on board. Visibility was 700 metres with heavy rain,” said a senior official.
A Mumbai airport official said: “Operations have not been stopped, all arrivals and departures are happening as per schedule.”
