NOIDA: Nithari serial killings accused Moninder Singh Pandher, 65, was released from the Luksar jail in UP’s Greater Noida on Friday afternoon.

The Allahabad high court had earlier this week ordered his acquittal in the sensational 2006 case after noting that the investigation was botched up.
A jail official said that on Friday the jail administration received the acquittal documents related to both the cases and released him at 2 pm.

Luksar Jail superintendent Arun Pratap Singh, said, “Today we have received the second court order (related to Pandher’s release) from the court and released him,” he said.
Pandher’s family members and lawyers had reached the jail to receive him.
Pandher was clad in white kurta-payjama and a khaki jacket.
He was also wearing a face mask as he is a patient of tuberculosis.

Pandher did not talk to media persons and swiftly boarded the car and left.

Allahabad HC had also acquitted his servant Surndier Koli in 12 cases in the Nithari Killings.
Koli is presently lodged in Ghaziabad’s Dasna jail as in one case Koli is convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.
