NEW DELHI: TMC MP Mahua Moitra called the affidavit released by the businessman Darshan Hirandani a ‘joke‘ with ‘no official letterhead‘.
Moitra posted a press release on X, formerly known as Twitter, raising certain questions regarding the origins of the “approver affidavit” that was leaked earlier today. She said that the affidavit had no official origin other than the press leak.

In the press release, Moitra asked if Hiranandani has not been summoned by the CBI or the ED then to whom did he give this to.

Mocking the affidavit, she further said that the letter has been drafted by some “half-wit” in the PMO who “doubles up as a creative writer in the BJP’s IT cell”.

Businessman Darshan Hiranandani on Thursday had admitted that he had used Mahua Moitra’s parliamentary login credentials to question the Modi government about industrialist Gautam Adani.
Mahua, he had further claimed, “made frequent demands” including “expensive luxury items, providing support on renovation of her officially allotted bungalow in Delhi, travel expenses, holidays, etc, apart from providing secretarial and logistical help for her travels within India and to different parts of the world,” news agency PTI reported.
