After India pummelled defending champions England, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi lauded Team India’s dominating show in Lucknow.
“Indian team looks solid and even when things crumble they know how to focus on their strengths. Winning 6/6 at the biggest stage is above and beyond home conditions. It’s a testimony of focused physical work and mental strength, favourites for that reason,” Afridi posted on X (formerly Twitter) after India’s win over England.
India will now take on Sri Lanka on Thursday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
England, who are languishing at the bottom of the table, will face Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
