Law enforcement sources have revealed that no illegal drugswere found at Matthew’s home in Los Angeles.According to TMZ, authorities found anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs and a COPD drug. COPD translates as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and the medicine is reportedly used for those suffering from emphysema or chronic bronchitis, seemingly hinting at Matthew’s smoking habit. The report further stated that the LA County Coroner will conduct a toxicology exam to determine if any drugs were in Perry’s system, but the process could take a few months.
In the prologue of his memoir, the actor had penned about his tryst with addiction and living in a sober living house in Southern California. “This was no surprise – I have lived half my life in one form or another in a treatment centre or sober living house. Which is fine when you are twenty-four years old, less fine when you are forty-two years old. Now I was forty-nine, still struggling to get this monkey off my back,” he wrote.
