A manhunt is under way for a man who is potentially armed and may be suffering a “significant injury” after an incident in Perth’s outer northeastern suburbs.
Police were called to a disturbance about 9.30am on Wednesday after reports of a man and woman fighting at a property along Hodnet Bend in The Vines.
Local police, the police air wing and the Tactical Response Group (TRG) were sent to the area, after initial reports suggesting the man was armed with a gun.
Officers found the woman inside the home. A WA Police spokesperson said her “welfare had been accounted for” but it was unclear if she had been injured.
They’re now investigating the incident, and trying to track down the man, who may have suffered a serious arm injury.
“Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a man believed to be in his late 20s, approximately 178cm tall with brown hair and green eyes,” the police spokesperson said.
“If sighted, do not approach the man but call police immediately on 131 444.”
Information can also be passed on to police anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or by filling out a report online.
