‘Chillum’ found near teen’s body
The police recovered a ‘chillum’ used in consuming ganja from the spot. His cellphone was missing.
His father Shamshad said Imtiaz had gone to Tarabari on Monday. When he did not return home till late evening, he called on his mobile phone, but it was switched off. The family members tried to search him for 24 hours before lodging a missing complaint on Tuesday.
SHO Chandan Kumar said villagers did not allow the police to send the body for post-mortem demanding an investigation of the spot by a dog squad. Police somehow pacified the mob and sent the body for autopsy. “The reason behind the murder could not be ascertained,” he said.
